Respect is the FA's programme of activities to combat unacceptable behaviour in our game at every level on the pitch and from the sidelines.  This was the No:1 priority emerging from the biggest opinion survey to date of grassroots football in England.  It was carried out in late 2007 and directly informed the FA's National Game Strategy, published in March 2008.
We hope that Respect will ensure a safe environment  for everyone to enjoy football  . . . . . . [more]

At 6:30am on 11th August, just as it was getting light, the Gosport Falcons U9's team, parents and guest all boarded a coach destined for London - the Falcons were on their way to play at Wembley Stadium.

After winning a competition in the 'Total Youth Football' magazine the team were included in a line up of 64 teams who were selected to take part in the National McDonalds/ FA Festival.

Guest of honour, Sir Geoff Hurst MBE, gave a speech and welcomed everyone to the stadium and yes, Fabio Capello was there as well . . . . .[more] . . [photos]

Get into Football

Have you ever thought about becoming a Referee?

The Football Association estimates that in some areas of the country, 20 per cent of games are played without a qualified match official.  The FA National Game Strategy GOAL is to recruit 8,000 new referees by 2012, as well as retain the existing 26,000 officials to ensure that in future, every game has a qualified official who is receiving regular training and support from an FA mentor programme and helpline.

Courses are open to male and female candidates aged 14 and over.  For more details go to the HampshireFA website.
